Sea Angling On Board Triton Explorer

Triton Explorer is available for sea angling trips, either wreck fishing or fishing on the open ground throughout the year. There are no tidal restrictions so we can come and go as we please at whatever time suits you to start and finish your trip. We can cater for beginner’s right up to the most experienced of anglers. Disabled anglers are also welcome as we have easy access for wheelchairs on Triton Explorer.
Rod hire is available which includes rod, reel and line. Tackle is available and can be arranged to be onboard at extra charge.

What we have that counts
A 42ft boat with a 23kt cruise and loads of space.
Sheltered seating.
All the creature comforts including a decent WC.
Serve yourself tea or coffee all day.

What we do
That’s up to you! Our normal days fishing will start at about 8AM and we get back 8 or so hours later. You may want a trip to cover a different time period for evening fishing or to take in slack water at a deep wreck; it’s really up to you, anything you want we will accommodate. Where we go depends on what you want, (wreck or ground), time of year and weather. During the week we can do half or part days at a reduced cost but usually for a minimum of 6 anglers.

What we catch
The fish we can take change with season throughout the year and range from mackerel in summer, Ling, Cod, Pollack and Conger from the wrecks. In winter Cod, Spurdog, Whiting and Flatfish can be taken from the ground.

Can we keep the catch?
Yes! But we encourage everyone only to keep what they want to eat. Fish are a scarce resource in the Irish Sea and we do not want to jeopardise the conservation measures put in place to encourage recovery of fish stocks
